Who Should Avoid Permanent Makeup?
**Ineligible Without Exception
Individuals under 18 years of age
We cannot perform permanent makeup on anyone under 18 years of age, even with parental consent.
Women who are pregnant or nursing
As the body goes through hormonal changes, it is more prone to infections. Your skin may change, and results can be unpredictable.
Individuals with Pacemakers or major heart problems
We use epinephrine as a numbing agent that can increase your heart rate, possibly causing dysrhythmias.
Individuals with viral infections and/or diseases
The risk of developing an infection is higher in people with compromised immune systems.
Individuals with Lupus
The risk of developing an infection is higher in people with compromised immune system.
Individuals who have undergone an Organ Transplant
The risk of developing an infection is higher in people with compromised immune systems.
Individuals with any kind of skin condition on or near the treatment area
Eczema, dermatitis, rosacea, psoriasis or or any one of these skin conditions may compromise the surface and texture of the skin. Procedures performed on skin with these types of conditions may have subpar results.
Individuals who are allergic to metal and color
We use small needles and pigments that can contain some metals and colorant, so allergy can be a show stopper.
Individuals prone to keloids
Since permanent makeup punctures the skin, there is always a risk for people prone to keloids to heal with keloid scarring.
Individuals who used Accutane
Accutane, a medication known to alter the skin, can leave it thin, dry, and sensitive. It also weakens the immune system. Due to these effects, it's advisable to wait until one year after completing Accutane treatment, when the skin has returned to its normal state, before considering permanent makeup procedures.**Eligible With Doctor Clearance and Note
Individuals undergoing chemotherapy
Although permanent makeup is excellent for enhancing your look, we require a doctor's note in order to perform the procedure for anyone undergoing chemotherapy. Once your oncologist clears you, we can book your appointment. Permanent makeup is an excellent solution for cancer survivors.
Individuals with Diabetes
It is important that your condition is stable and under control. Please consult with your physician and provide us with a doctor's note.
Individuals with Thyroid Condition
The color of your brows can fade faster when taken with certain thyroid medications.
Individuals with Glaucoma
The risk of developing an eye infection is higher.
Individuals with High Blood Pressure
Your blood pressure has to be at a stable condition. You may have slightly greater bleeding than the norm. Excessive bleeding during the procedure can dilute and expel the pigment color and lead to poor results.
Individuals who have any uncertainty regarding their pre-existing conditions or are under the supervision of a physician, please consult with your doctor before booking an appointment and provide us with a doctor's note.**Eligible Based on Individual Cases
Individuals with a dark pre-existing eyebrow tattoo or permanent makeup
The tattoo or permanent makeup must be light enough for us to draw hair strokes. We ask anyone with a previous eyebrow tattoo to email us at contact@pinkcaviarspa.com with a picture of their eyebrows with no makeup so we can evaluate them.
Individuals who are allergic to lidocaine or epinephrine
Our most used anesthetics are lidocaine and epinephrine, so if you are allergic to them, we will not be able to use them during the procedure; however, you will still have the option to proceed without a numbing agent to reduce the pain.
Individuals with oily skin
Those with very oily skin are ineligible for microblading. Powder brows are recommended for this skin type. Those with less oily or combination skin may consider a combination of microblading and powder effect, known as combo brows. We have a blog all about microblading solutions for oily skin if this applies to you. Our Master Artist will ultimately decide if they can perform microblading on your skin.
Individuals who are prone to cold sore
If you are prone to cold sores, lip blushing may result in an outbreak and cause loss of pigment. You must start taking antiviral medication, prescribed by your doctor and NOT over the counter, 48 hours prior to treatment to prevent an outbreak.
Individuals with dark lips or prone to hyperpigmentation
In some cases, we can not work over dark lips or people prone to hyperpigmentation. Due to the hyperpigmentation getting darker. We ask anyone with dark lips or prone to hyperpigmentation to send us an email with a picture of their bare lips and the surrounding area of their lips with no makeup on so we can evaluate.
Individuals with sun-damaged skin
It can result in poor retention of pigment.
At Pink Caviar, we prioritize the safety and well-being of our clients. Therefore, we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone if we believe that the procedure may not be suitable or safe for them. This policy is in place to ensure that all our clients receive the best possible care and results. -
MICROBLADING IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR ANYONE WHO IS OR HAS THE FOLLOWING:

Used Accutane in the past year
Diabetes
Epilepsy
Pacemaker or major heart problems

Viral infections and or diseases
* Individuals prone to keloids, super thin skin, Rosacea, or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Unfortunately, since Microblading punctures the skin with tiny needles, we cannot work with clients with these conditions.
* Individuals with visible redness on the face. Broken blood vessels too close to the skin surface will cause excessive bleeding, affecting the retention of the brows. We cannot work with clients with these conditions.
* Individuals with transmittable blood diseases such as HIV or Hepatitis. Microblading artists cut into the skin, so it is best not to work with these conditions for the safety of our clients, as these conditions greatly impact the immune system and healing process of individuals.
* Individuals with auto-immune diseases. Microblading may significantly impact the immune system, and healing results are not guaranteed.
* If you’ve had Botox/filler in the brow area. We ask that clients wait 4 weeks after botox/filler before getting microblading done. Alternatively, you can do the Microblading treatment first and then wait 4 weeks to do your botox/filler.
* Individuals undergoing active chemotherapy or if you have any skin condition near your eyebrows. Sunburn, acne, psoriasis, eczema, shingles, rashes, or anything near eyebrows.
* Individuals with oily skin. Those with very oily skin and large pores are not good candidates for Microblading.
* Individuals under 18 years of age
* Individuals over 55 years of age. From our experience, mature skin is not an ideal candidate for Microblading. Individuals who are pregnant or nursing
* Individuals with dark pre-existing eyebrow tattoos. We do not take clients with previous work. The only exception would be if the old works are completely gone and not visible. Please email us a photo at contact@pinkcaviarspa.com -

Permanent Makeup Brows Aftercare Instructions:
Days 1 to 3: Eyebrows look fuller, though your face may feel cut and tender
On the first day, your eyebrows will look very bold and full. The color may look extremely dark, but keep in mind that it’ll eventually fade. You’ll likely experience:
redness
tenderness
mild swelling
mild bleeding
a sensation of feeling cut or bruised
By days 2 and 3, these side effects should slowly subside.
Days 3 to 5: Eyebrows look very dark, then start to flake off
As the pain and tenderness go away, your brows will darken and thicken. They’ll still look very bold.
By day 5, your brows will begin to scab. They will be flaky and extremely itchy. This is normal and means your skin is healing.
Days 5 to 8: Flaking continues, and the color fades
You can expect more scabbing, flaking, and peeling.
Resist the temptation to pick the scabs, which can reopen the wounds and disrupt the healing process. It might also remove some pigment, resulting in patchy brows. Let the scabs flake off naturally instead.
As your brows continue to flake, the dark color will soften. But rest assured that the color will come back.
Days 8 to 12: Flaking ends, and color returns
After the first week, the flaking will gradually stop. The color will also return.
Days 12 to 21: Color and texture look more natural
The color of your eyebrows should look more even and natural. The individual brow hairs will also look more defined, creating the appearance of feathery eyebrows.
Days 21 to 30: Skin is healed
After 1 month, your skin will be completely healed. You shouldn’t feel any pain or discomfort. Your eyebrows should also look soft and full.
In another month or two, you’ll likely have a follow-up appointment with your provider. This allows them to check on how your skin has healed as well as fix any spots or errors.
The pigment immediately following the procedure will appear quite dark, and the skin underneath it will be red. After all, needles are used to cut into the skin, so it’s typical to experience some redness and sensitivity immediately following the service.
Follow these steps to take care of your skin after Microblading or Microshading:
About 2 hours after the Permanent Makeup, you should run a cotton swab dipped in sterilized water over the area. This will get rid of any excess dye on your brows. It will also keep the area sterile.
It takes anywhere from 7 to 14 days for the skin to begin to appear healed and for the pigment to fade to its intended shade.
Avoid getting the area wet for at least 7 days. This includes keeping your face dry during a shower.
Don’t wear makeup for at least a week. This is because the pigments are still settling into the shallow cuts in your skin caused by the blading.
Don’t pick at scabs, tug, or itch the eyebrow area.
Avoid saunas, swimming, and excessive sweating until the area is completely healed and you have a follow-up appointment.
Keep your hair away from your brow line.
Apply any medicated cream or healing balm provided by your technician as directed.
